Obituary of Aniela Bugno MARTYNIAK

November 11, 1922 – March 17, 2012 Aniela (Angela) Bugno Martyniak (nee Rozalska) passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at the age of 89 years. Angela was a remarkable woman who achieved much in her life. She was born to Tomasz and Jozefa Rozalski in Poland and lived there in her youth. She was the eldest of seven children. She was taken to Germany during the Second World War to work in work camps. This event changed her destiny. After the war, she immigrated to Canada where she met and married Julian Bugno in Sudbury, Ontario. Upon his untimely passing, with two young daughters to raise, Angela opened, owned and operated a store and several apartments to make a living for her family. She also took on other work endeavours once she retired from her business. She moved to Calgary fourteen years ago to be closer to her children and grandchildren when her second husband, Michael Martyniak passed away. She was an avid gardener who enjoyed creating beauty in her own garden as well as in others. She was generous of heart, hospitable, kind and caring, helpful and a hard-worker. She was a wonderful role model for her family. She made many friends wherever she lived. Angela will be loving remembered and missed by her daughters, Helen Bugno (Don DiBenedetto) and Julia Bugno (Gord Miller); her grandchildren, Tara (Kirk Shannon), David and Daniel DiBenedetto and Jenna and Sarah Miller; her brother Jozef Jerozalski (Jadga) of Germany; her sister Marysia Zawada of Poland; along with numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her step-children, Helen Zador (Elmer), Annie Jeanveau (Claude) and Walter Martyniak, and their children, Robert, Michael, Danielle, Michelle, and Jamie. She was predeceased by her parents Tomasz and Josefa Rozalski; husbands, Julian Bugno and Michael Martyniak; brother Stanislaw; and sisters, Katarzyna, Hela and Stasza.
