Obituary of Douglas Stanley PEARSON

PEARSON, Douglas Stanley August 30, 1950 – March 16, 2012 Douglas Stanley Pearson beloved husband of Linda passed away peacefully on Friday March 16, 2012 in Calgary, AB at the age of 61 years. Doug was born in Edmonton, AB on August 30, 1950 to Elsie and Elwood Pearson. Doug and his siblings grew up in the Edmonton and Calmar area. While living in Edmonton Doug met his true love Linda Bain. In 1969 they married and for the next forty three years the love they shared for each other continued to grow and spread with-in the special family they created. In 1971 Linda and Doug moved to Calgary, AB where they raised their family and continued to live until Doug’s passing. It was during this time Doug found his passion for traveling the many roads as a long haul truck driver. In 2000 due to Doug’s decline in health and with a heavy heart, that passion and adventure came to an end. Doug is survived by his beloved wife Linda ; his beautiful daughters Tracy ( Mike ) Anderson of Hussar, AB and Cindy of Calgary, AB. His one very special grandson Colten Anderson. Also left to cherish Doug’s memory is his mother in-law Rhoda Bain of Medicine Hat, AB; brother in-law Elwood Campbell of Calgary, AB; Doug’s aunts, uncles and numerous cousins. Doug was predeceased by his father Elwood Pearson, his mother Elsie Hyde; his brother Harvey Pearson; his sister Joanne DuGrey; his father in-law James Bain and sister in-law Sharon Campbell. The Pearson family would like to thank all the staff at the Chinook Hospice for the wonderful care they provided for Doug and the family. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Eastside Memorial Chapel (5388 Memorial Drive N.E.) on March 21, 2012 at 1:30pm. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
