Obituary of Lloyd Jacob SCHULTE
January 6, 1925 – March 13, 2012
On Tuesday, March 13, 2012 we said goodbye to a great man. Lloyd’s journey through this life ended and he was called by God to his eternal reward.
He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus and a very active member of St. Cecilia’s Parish for more than thirty years. He graduated from the University of Alberta in 1950 and worked in the exploration branch of the oil industry for forty-five years. His work took him to many parts of Canada and throughout the world and provided him with a wealth of exciting and interesting experiences. Loyal, kind, and loving, Lloyd and Jean enjoyed life to the fullest from their many road trips, many wonderful cruises and their friendships forged through their membership in the Monahan Fifty-Five Plus Seniors Group. Lloyd was a dedicated and committed volunteer to many organizations that were dear to his heart and was always willing to assist those who were less fortunate. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A wonderful husband, a great dad and proud grandfather, he was predeceased by his wife of thirty-seven years, Evelyn in 1996. Lloyd was also predeceased by siblings, Orville, James, Gilbert, Dorothy, Barbara and Paul.
He leaves to mourn his passing and to remember him fondly, his beloved wife Jean; daughters, Rosemary (Stephen) Everitt, Sandra (Michael) Dawson; and sons Brian (Joy) Schulte and Cameron Schulte; step-daughters Sandi (John) Johnson-Haunholter and Peggy (Ron) Albee; grandchildren, Tyler, Jessica (Tom) Bridger, Amber, Chelin, Mark and Jordan; brothers Ken and Marvin (Cheryl); sisters Freda Coates, Donna Schulte and Joanne (Norman) Matthews; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church (321 – 90th Avenue S.E) on Friday, March 16, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be concelebrated at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church (321 – 90th Avenue S.E.) on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. Private Family Graveside Service will be held at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens.
