Obituary of Bruce Wallace MAHONEY

March 8, 1924 – March 5, 2012 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bruce Mahoney on Monday, March 5, 2012 at the age of 87 years. Bruce grew up under the clear blue skies of Saskatchewan. His entrepreneurial spirit served him well in all his work. Bruce enjoyed many good friends and valued and nurtured friendships that lasted a lifetime. He loved nothing more than the telling of a good joke and spending time with family and friends skiing in the mountains or swinging a club on the golf course. In his later years he was delighted to rekindle his friendships with the “Old Bold Pilots” from his days in the RCAF. Bruce’s life was a life well lived. Bruce is lovingly remembered by his children and their spouses, Dick and Sheila Mahoney, Claudia and Peter Martin; by his granddaughters, Jan Armstrong, Mallory, Meredith and Claire Martin; by his two sisters, Noreen Mahoney and Lynn Garner and his good friend Shirley Aldous. Bruce was predeceased by his loving wife Mary in 2006 and son Mark in 2008. A Celebration of Bruce’s Life will be held at a later date.
