Condolences
Dear Kerry, Dan and Ken. One more of our old neighborhood passes … he had a long, long life; long marriage and a great family and community life. I remember every time I happen to be in Elboya, even though my own parents have been gone 12 years … where have the years gone? You are in my thoughts … Hetty
Dear Kerry, Dan, Ken and families,
I was saddened to read your father’s obituary today. He was such a special person in my life, having given the toast to the bride at my wedding and speaking again at my mother’s funeral. He also sold me my first home in Calgary.
He was a dear and cherished friend of our family, as was your dear mother. You were so blessed with wonderful parents and will have many fine memories to share.
With sympathy,
Leigh
To Danny and the family of Ken Russell, a great man,
We are away but noticed in the Herald that you Dad passed away. I read it with great sadness, but realized I was being selfish in doing so.
Instead I remembered it is a time to celebrate that Ken was a wonderful person. It is time to remember his many contributions to his community, the depth of his friendships, and the love he had for his family.
Your Dad was a pal. He cared about people and my experiences and memories include him as an active and fun loving man. Your dad was honorable and gracious and a professional. He honored his commitments and as a father was well loved by family. He lived life to the full and was a great friend of our family.
We hope that you will be able to fill that void in your heart with your own memories of him. He’ll remain with you and still be there when you need him. He was just kind of man.
Russ and Jill and family
Dan, Kerry & Ken,
Sorry for your loss, good to hear that it was a life well lived.
Regards,
Bruce Weir
Danny…
I remember fondly having “just the one” with your
Dad and you at the Stampede.
Are thoughts are with you.

To Danny and family:
So sorry to hear about your dad’s passing. I only met him on a few occasions but he, upon reading about him, sounded like a wonderful man and father.
Remember the good times.
Dear Family Of Ken :
Ken was a wonderful, wonderful man and friend
He touched so many lives in a very positive way and will be seriously missed. Everyone who knew Ken counted him as their friend.
I had the pleasure of meeting Ken soon after I joined The Calgary Stampede in 1977. Then, when my wife and I moved into Manor Village last year, we renewed our friendship again. He was a very popular man at Manor Village. His warm personality….his mastery of remembering names….his cheerful personality ….all added to making Ken an unforgetable and much loved person. Yes,,,many lives are better because of knowing Ken Russell
Nell and I send our warmest condolences to the wonderful family of Ken. We are proud to have known him. Don & Nell Jacques
