Obituary of John Casmir BLAZINA
March 4, 1924 – March 4, 2012
John Blazina passed away at the Foothills Hospital on Sunday, March 4, 2012 at the age of 88 years.
John was born in Hreljin, Yugoslavia, and raised in Nelson, B.C. He was married to his wife, Ada, at Nelson in 1943. They moved to Calgary in 1948 and raised their six children there. John and Ada were lifetime members of the Rosicrucian Order, A.M.O.R.C. He was an inspiration to all who knew him and will be truly missed.
John is survived by five sons Richard, Norman, Arthur, Martin, Daryl, one daughter Shannon, twelve grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters Helene LaCoste and Mary Bruketa and his partner, Patricia Brydon.
A Memorial Service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W. Calgary, AB) on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
