Obituary of Marilyn QUIGLEY
December 10, 1941 – February 29, 2012
With love and sadness we announce the passing of Marilyn Quigley (nee Sweet) at the age of 70 years.
She leaves behind her daughters, Terry Anne (Mark) and Sandrelle (Greg); her son Bryson; and grandchildren, Andrew (Amanda), Zoe and Alice; as well as her siblings, Connie, Joan (Harry), Shelly (Dennis), Ron (Judy), and many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Marilyn was predeceased by her parents Mike and Anne; and her brother Randy several years ago.
Marilyn took pride in having grown up in the Springbank area, enjoying school as a child and growing up on the family farm. As a young adult, Marilyn sought something different and left the rural life to live in the city of Calgary where she started her own family. She enjoyed being at home, afternoon naps and a good cup of tea. Marilyn was one-of-a-kind and left all around her with a lasting impression. An eccentric and unconventional outlook on the world were put to canvas by Marilyn, resulting in several art pieces that will inspire and comfort those she left behind.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Monday, March 5, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
