Obituary of Marjorie MOORHOUSE

“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.” Psalm 23:4 Marjorie Moorhouse passed away peacefully at the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton on Monday, February 27, 2012. Marjorie is survived by her sister Shirley Hughes; step-daughter Sylvia Chu; grandsons Christopher (Holly), and Daniel (Christine); and two great-grandsons Noah and Tenzin, all of Ontario. Marjorie was predeceased by her first husband Bruce Bond (June 5, 1943); and second husband Milton Moorhouse (February 6, 2012); parents Dr. R.R. (Ralph) and Margaret Hughes; brother Donald; and sister Avis. Marjorie was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church, Calgary where she taught a ladies’ Sunday School class for several years. An internment service will be held at Queen’s Park Cemetery (4th Street & 31st Avenue N.W. Calgary, AB) on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at 2:00 p.m.
