Obituary of Sarah STEVENS

September 12, 1921 – February 20, 2012 Sarah (Sadie) Stevens (nee Faulkner) passed away peacefully at the Santuari Hospice on Monday, February 20, 2012 at the age of 90 years. Sarah was born in Calgary and resided here her entire life, where she developed many cherished life-long friendships. Sarah was very committed to supporting both church and community as shown through her countless hours of volunteer work with organizations such as; Scarboro United Church and St. Matthew’s United Church, Meals on Wheels, CGIT, Elda Daniels, Alberta Theatre Projects, Good Companions and others. Sarah was predeceased by her husband Malcolm and is lovingly remembered by her three children, Jan Stevens (Arthur), Judy Pedersen (Len), Rob Stevens (Pat), as well as grandchildren Ian, Jill, Glen, Jacqueline, Carrie, Chad and Tara, and fourteen great-grandchildren. Sarah will be remembered by many for her generous spirit, enduring kindness and unconditional support. She was very proud of her family and cherished time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W. Calgary, AB) on Monday, February 27, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
