Obituary of Murray HEPTING

April 25, 1954 – February 15, 2012 Murray James Hepting, beloved partner of Rhonda Woolverton, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at the age of 57. Murray was born in Balcarres, SK; attended Balcarres Elementary/High School and moved to Calgary at the age of 18. Murray landed his first job as a porter at the Holy Cross Hospital, venturing on to become a journeyman electrician, and later a salesman extraordinaire and entrepreneur focusing mainly on the real estate, oil & gas and automotive industries and most recently obtaining a U.S. Patent and Canadian Patent Pending status for an automobile tool called the “Elevator”. He was a Trustee for the Army, Navy and Air Force Veterans of Calgary, past board member for the Alex Community Health Centre and an executive member of the Kinsmen Club of Calgary. He also volunteered for the Rotary Club of Calgary. Murray is survived by his loving partner, Rhonda and little “Baby Girl” Maddie. He was predeceased by grandparents, George and Margaret Hepting, Godfrey and Katherine Hilderman and their extended families. Murray is survived by parents Norman and Elsie Hepting; sister Patti (Bill) Baumgartner; nephews, Lee and Drew; Aunts Emma Bauer and Florence Miller; and numerous cousins. Also survived by his mother and father-in-law, Kirk and Mary Woolverton; brothers-in-law, Cecil, Rocky (Jean) and Greg; and nieces and nephews, Sean (Gwen), Zach, Emily, Dani, and Sara. A Memorial Service will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #264, Royal Kensington Room (1910 Kensington Road N.W.) on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life taking place on April 25, 2012.
