Obituary of Nancy May CRIDDLE
March 20, 1943 – February 14, 2012
Nancy May Criddle of Calgary, passed away at the Foothills Country Hospice in Okotoks, AB on Tuesday, February 14, 2012.
Nancy was born in Winnipeg and as a young girl moved to Montreal and Halifax with her parents where she attended Queen Elizabeth High School and Dalhousie University.
She fell in love with the Rockies while working in Lake Louise several summers and knew she would move back there. She loved sports and the outdoors and spent a lot of time camping and skiing.
Nancy is survived by her aunt Mickey Stedman of Surrey, BC; her sister Janet McDonald of Winnipeg, MB and her brother Dick (Pat) Criddle of Halifax. She is also survived by her nephew David Criddle and his daughter Emily of Calgary; her niece and nephew Donna Criddle and Tom Criddle of Winnipeg and her niece Jill (Matt) Davies of Halifax and their daughters Leah and Sarah. Nancy is also survived by many cousins in western Canada. She was predeceased by her parents, Florence and Val Criddle of Halifax and by her baby brother David.
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Monday, February 20, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Cremation has taken place.
