Obituary of Simon Jeffrey BOUCHER

August 25, 1915 – February 14, 2012 Simon Boucher beloved husband of Dragita Boucher of Calgary, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at the age of 96 years. Simon was born in Arichat, Nova Scotia. He moved to Halifax and was employed by Ford Motor Company before moving to Calgary in 1949. He joined Universal Ford in Calgary and stayed with them until retirement. Simon will be remembered for his kindness, off the wall one-liner sense of humour, for handcrafted projects and the best trimmed lawn in the neighbourhood. Besides his loving wife Dragita and her children Vanessa, Marcel, Karman and grandson Miika, he is also survived by a sister Estelle, brother Cornelius (Emma), nieces Betty Ann (Ron) McCulloch and their children Lisa, Danielle, Angela and grandson Broden; Cornelia (George) Sutherland and son John-Willie; Aurine (Carl) Pardy and their children Brian and Shelly. He was predeceased by his first wife Dorothy. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W. Calgary, AB) on Monday, February 20, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Name Catholic Church (2223 – 34th Street S.W.) on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queens Park Cemetery.
