Obituary of Milton MOORHOUSE
July 6, 1910 – February 6, 2012
“And God shall wipe away all tears from
their eyes; and there shall be no more death.”
On February 6, 2012, Milton Moorhouse passed away peacefully in Edmonton.
Born in Carseland, AB and raised on the ‘Home Coulee Ranch’ southwest of Strathmore. He was predeceased by his first wife, Avis and his parents Oscar and Margaret (Nettie). Milton is survived by his loving family, wife Marjorie, daughter Sylvia Chu, grandson’s Christopher (Holly), and Daniel (Christine) and two great-grandson’s Noah and Tenzin, all of Ontario and a sister-in-law Shirley Hughes.
Milton graduated in 1934 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Institute of Technology, Pittsburgh, PA. He worked for Imperial Oil/Esso until his retirement in July 1975. He worked in various cities in Canada and had two postings abroad in Japan and Wales.
A memorial service will be held at McLaurin Baptist Church (11107 51 Avenue, Edmonton, AB) on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Milton was buried on February 10, 2012 at Queen’s Park Cemetery, Calgary. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
