Obituary of Joan Doreen WALCOT

June 29, 1928 – February 6, 2012 Joan Walcot passed away peacefully at the Brentwood Care Centre in Calgary on Monday, February 6, 2012. Joan was born and raised by Gertrude Emma Maude Allan and Frank Manning Eberwein in Montreal, PQ, where she obtained a degree in Physical Therapy from McGill University in the early 1950’s. She met and married her husband Judge, and after living in Kitchener, ON and Vancouver, B.C., they eventually settled in Calgary in 1963. She was an avid bridge player and was part of a number of bridge groups with friends. Joan was also actively involved offering many hours of her time to The Junior League of Calgary. Joan quickly made friends and loved entertaining, becoming quite the hostess of many parties and was known to be an excellent cook. Joan will be loving remembered by her children, Andrew (Jacqueline) Walcot, Lindsay (John) MacInnis; her grandchildren Christopher, Jonathan, Stefanie and Kathryn (Katy). She will also be missed by her brother Arthur (Anne) Eberwein of Vancouver. She was predeceased by her husband Harold (Judge) Walcot of 52 years in May of 2007. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.
