Obituary of Jack Cummings MACLEOD
December 25, 1924 – February 4, 2012
Jack MacLeod beloved husband of Jean MacLeod of Calgary, passed away on February 4, 2012 at the age of 87 years.
Jack is survived by his loving wife Jean, daughters Marilyn (Gabriel) Myra of Summerside, PEI and Debra (Denis) Briere of Calgary, Grandchildren John McGaughey, Daniel and Diana Briere, great granddaughter Zoë Dabom Song McGaughey.
Jack was born in New Glasgow, son of the late John Dan and Mary (Cummings) MacLeod. He was predeceased by his brother Harry, sister Helen Jean Allen, and grandson Andrew Jack McGaughey.
Jack served in the Royal Canadian Navy during World War II. He was a lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge in Stellarton, Nova Scotia, and worked 41 years in estates and trusts, retiring from TD Canada Trust.
He enjoyed tying flies and fly fishing, curling, as well as playing bridge and cribbage.
A Memorial Service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.), on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
