Obituary of Wesley Herschel COTTON
October 1, 1927 – January 28, 2012
Wesley Cotton of Calgary passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at the age of 84 years.
Wesley was born in Swan River, MB. He worked for C.P. Rail for thirty-eight years and retired in Calgary. He was an avid golfer and curler. In retirement, Wesley enjoyed spending winters in California and summers at Mara Lake, BC.
Wesley is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Valerie and John Wolfe; son and daughter-in-law Murray and Simone Cotton; four grandchildren, Alanna (Eric) Hansen, Jolayne (Jeremy) Lewis, Devin Wolfe and Brendan Cotton; two great-grandchildren Summer Hanson and Destynee Lewis. He is also survived by a brother and sister-in-law Al and Lil Cotton; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Wesley was predeceased by his wife Verna Cotton.
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Friday, February 3, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev. Hector Rose officiating.
