Dear Karperien Family,
On behalf of Matt and Ruth’s family we offer our sincere condolences. We can tell you from experience that we truly understand the pain you are feeling with the sudden absence of your husband; brother, father, grandfather and friend. Gerry’s strength and determination to come to Matt’s/Dad’s funeral meant so much to all of us. It showed his strong belief in supporting one’s family. There are so many wonderful things to say about Gerry, but the one that stands out most was his endearing smile and contagious laugh, he loved a good joke. Through the years we have all experienced special moments and conversations with Gerry that have touched us personally. One of his famous comments to all little girls or women was; “You’re So Beautiful” in his most sincere way. This always managed to make everyone feel special, even if it was for just a moment. Bless his kind heart.
From one family to another, we wish you much strength as a family unit and hope that you find peace in your hearts knowing that with each other’s support you will feel the love Gerry wished for all of you.
