Obituary of Peter M. LEIER

December 4, 1952-January 19, 2012 Peter Michael Leier passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at the age of 59. He is survived by his daughter Laura and son John, wife Cindy, and sisters Jackie, Eileen, Mary and Cathy. He was predeceased by father Peter, mother Pauline, and brother John. Peter was a warm, spirited and charismatic person with many great passions and interests including a love of athletics, travel, and military history. He will be remembered by many for the boundless energy he gave to coaching amateur sport which was an interest close to his heart. Having been a track athlete and college football player in his earlier years, he supported his children’s athletic endeavours and gave generously of his time and expertise to all the friends and teams they were connected to, from kindergarten to high school levels. Peter was a lawyer by profession and brought wise counsel to his work and business connections. He was highly regarded and loved by peers and friends throughout his life. He was witty, intellectual, a great speaker and a beautiful writer. Most of all, Peter was a lover of people and life in general which he expressed with enthusiasm and good humor everywhere he went. He will be missed by many.
