Obituary of Patricia Leona DARROCH

October 19, 1952 – January 17, 2012 It is with immense sadness the family of Pattie Darroch announces that after a courageous battle with cancer, she is in God’s loving care. Pattie always put others before herself and loved to make her family happy. Her passions included reading, music, trips to Las Vegas with Carol, Friday night bingos, and most of all spending time with family. Her greatest accomplishment was her three grandchildren, and the time she spent with them, including watching their lacrosse and soccer games, dance recitals and graduations. Pattie always loved angels, and our angel is now in Heaven forever watching over us. Pattie was a loving and caring mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and she will be forever remembered by her daughters, Nannette Gretton (Michael) and Billie-Joe Morrey (Jamie Frank); and her precious grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Kristopher and Elsa. She is also survived by her mother Jean Huff; her brothers and sisters, Carol, Sharon, Gordon, Stan (Laurie) and Andrew (Donna); and her beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father George and her brother Terry. Our deepest thanks for the excellent care given by Dr. Lau, Dr. Webster and staff at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre, Foothills Hospital, the palliative home-care team, and the wonderful staff and volunteers at Rosedale Hospice, where Pattie spent her final days with family in an environment of care, compassion and peace. At Pattie’s request no service will be held. If so desired, donations can be made directly to Hospice Calgary (1245 – 70 Avenue SE, Calgary, AB, T2H 2W8). Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com In living memory of Patricia Darroch, a tree will be planted at Big Hill Springs Park Cochrane by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, Crowfoot Chapel, 82 CROWFOOT CIRCLE N.W.
