Obituary of Barbara Joan PILLON

October 27, 1953 – January 15, 2012 Barb’s courageous ten year battle with breast cancer ended suddenly on Sunday, January 15, 2012 at the age of 58 years. Her strength inspired us all, and in the hearts of all who knew her, she was truly a winner. She was an angel and a hero to so many, and her legacy lives on in all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her guiding light continues to shine, and her soul transcends as she is now our guardian angel. Spread your wings and Fly. Barb is survived by her two children, Lori Benson of Calgary and Gary Pillon of Okotoks; five grandchildren; her mother Dorothy Benson; five siblings and their spouses, Carol Arbecz and Ron Piper, Evelyn Benson, John and Lois Benson, Arlene and John Campbell, and Rob and Sandra Benson and their families. She was predeceased by her father John Benson. A Celebration of Barb’s life will be held at Holy Cross Lutheran Church (20 Banister Gate, Okotoks, AB) on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
