Obituary of Al DILLABOUGH

May 12, 1938 – January 13, 2012 Al, beloved husband of Shirley, passed away suddenly in Palm Desert, California on Friday, January 13, 2012 at the age of 73 years. Al will be lovingly remembered by his wife Shirley; sons Todd and Troy; grandchildren Sarah, Emma, Kate, Wanyi, Jacob; brother Don Dillabough; sister Rita Alspach and many extended family and friends. Al was born in Bethune, Saskatchewan and graduated from the University of Saskatchewan as a geological engineer. He moved to Calgary with his wife Shirley in 1960 where he started his career with Shell Canada, and later moved to Canadian Hunter in 1978. After retiring Al was an active Board member with many companies in the Canadian oil and gas sector. He was a compassionate leader that influenced many people with his positive management style. Al enjoyed spending time with family and friends and could always be counted on to add just the right amount of humour to lighten any occasion. Spending time on the ocean, golfing or working on antique cars were his favourite pass-times.
