Obituary of Margaret Eleanor LEITH
April 28, 1920 – January 12, 2012
Margaret Leith beloved wife of Hermen of Calgary, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer.
Margaret loved to entertain family and friends and was a superb homemaker and a gourmet cook. She loved to dance, play bridge, travel and spend time with friends. She loved her garden and all beautiful things.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Hermen, her two daughters, Donna and Willa, six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren as well as six nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, James and Elizabeth Rickard, her two brothers James and Earl and sister Gertrude all of Regina.
A Memorial Service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W. Calgary, AB) on Friday, January 20th, 2012 at 2:30p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to Parish of Christ the King to the attention of Reverend Dr. Colin O’Rourke, 6207, 6000 Somervale Court SW, Calgary AB T2J 4J4.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the staff of CBI Home Health, especially to Chandra, Grace, Joan and Jenny who so tenderly cared for Margaret during the final months of her life, providing for her physical needs while maintaining her honor and dignity under very challenging circumstances. A special thank you to the Chateau Renoir, Sharon Holbrook R.N. and her dear friend Ena.
