I believe Robert Horton to be the same “Mr. Horton” that was one of my teachers at Colonel Walker Jr. High School back in the 1950’s, along with Mr. Fred Parker. If so, I wish to tell you what an important influence these teachers were to us kids from ‘the other side of the tracks’. We felt valued and worthy and many went on to be honor students and successful in life. I remember Mr. Horton especially for leading a girls choir that I was in. I really couldn’t sing well, but all of us were included, and did a pretty good job.

A perons lives through the memories of others, and especially in the influence on others live. In this way, Mr. Horton will live on for a long time.
