Obituary of Donald Ralph TAYLOR
October 18, 1938 – January 2, 2012
It is with great love and sadness that we say farewell to Don who passed away suddenly in Paphos, Cyprus.
Don will be lovingly remembered by his son Brad (Shannon), daughter Jill, grandchildren (Alexa, Coen, Max and Jenna), his brothers Bill (Lori) and Ed (Donna), Rose, sister-in-law Penny, his nieces and nephews, companion Jill Standing and lifelong friends.
Don was born in Summerside, PEI and moved to Alberta in 1950 with his family. Most of Don`s life was spent working in the oil industry (including Bawden/Noble Drilling) and living overseas. Don was one who enjoyed life and lived it to its fullest. He was charismatic, social, funny and a great mentor. Don enjoyed skiing, sailing and travelling including annual trips to Calgary. Nothing made him happier than having a cold drink after a long day of sailing and watching the sunset on the water.
A celebration of Don`s life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 264, (1910 Kensington Road N.W.) on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
