Condolences
I am saddened to learn that Wanda has passed away. A very talented and creative person has left us and I extend my deepest sympathy to all your family. We met through Freckles Quilt Shop. I took several classes from her and I learned so much from her. Wanda was always very generous with her time and her talents. She helped me create a beautiful quilted jacket for my mother’s 75th birthday which my mother treasures. I loved Wanda’s creativity and her fabulous sense of colour. Wanda. I needed 32 fabrics for this jacket and Wanda just started pulling bolts off the wall. Her choices were perfect. She always knew just the perfect fabric to complete a project and I missed her when she left the store.
Frank, I was so sorry to read of the passing of Wanda, she was far to young to leave us. My condolences to not only your family Frank but also to the Luey family. Wanda was always a bright spark and a little impish when the mode struck her. I still have a pair of heavy wool socks with a garish red trim, tassel and in red the word “Express” stitched in at the top. We were working on the MacKenzie Pipeline dream at the time and she thought I’d need something warm on my tootsies if I ever had to go up north, she had a great sense of humour.

I am deeply saddened to hear about Wanda’s passing and extend my sympathy to you all. I fondly remember Wanda as that person who gave me a chance in my early career days with AGTL and I could always count on her as an honest and genuine co-worker and mentor who was so positive, thoughtful, generous and sincere in her words and actions. Though the years passed I have never forgotten her kindness and intuitive (and funloving!) nature in our days together at the office, and treasure those times. She just radiated light and love. I am thinking about you all and hold you in my prayers. Jean Hergert

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this very sad time. Wanda was such a nice person and to have ALS take her away so suddenly! May god bless you.
Frank, I was sorry to read about the recent passing of your wife. The age I am getting I regularly read the obituaries and I recognize far too many names. I understand what you are going through at this time as my Mom passed away December 22 and we just had her funeral January 4. My thoughts are with you.

Dear Frank, Cindy and Chrissy,
I am deeply sorry to learn of Wanda’s passing. I have been aware of her illness and have had her in my thoughts and prayers during her struggle.
Wanda will be remembered as a sweet, caring, generous lady. She was so talented with her impressive handwork dating back to her early crafts before she began her quilting. She’ll be fondly missed by the friends she grew up with when they participated together in the activities of the Chinese United Church. She was dearly loved by her Auntie Helen and her family as well as other members of her extended family.
May God comfort you and warm your hearts with loving memories of your dear wife and mother.
With deepest sympathy,
Bertha Wen
Our deepest condolences, Frank. We share your sorrow and grief.

I had the honour of getting to know Wanda, as I was the dental hygienist at her dental office for many years. She always had a smile on her face, and her gentle nature and kind heart always shone through. Please accept my heart -felt sympathy for your loss.
