Condolences
I’m saddened to hear of Alta’s passing. She was so kind to my brother, my nephew and myself when when she offered her basement apartment while we visited sister Lorraine. Alta was a lovely person.

Sherry,
I’m not sure you even know of me, but I’m a blood grand-daughter of Grandma Bailor.(Alta) I was Dave’s 1st born… I was adopted out. I only had the chance & pleasure of meeting her once, thanks to Angie & Melanie, and I loved her and instantly felt a connection with her. She was a very cool lady. My true condolences to you. We came to your house and she let me and Mel pick out a pottery vase from the workshop. I choose the blue one, with black stripes… and think of her every time I look at it. So sorry for your loss.
Sherry,
That is a great picture of Alta in the Herald. I did not know she played the accordion … I would love to have told her the story of the time I bought mine. She probably had a few tales of her own to tell and I am sure I would have enjoyed hearing them.
I know her last few years were very, very tough, both for Alta and for you. Thank goodness you have been there for her through thick and thin. She is looking down from her bike and smiling at you right now.
