Obituary of Alta Veta BAILOR
July 31, 1928 – December 27, 2011
With sadness, we announce the passing of Alta Veta Bailor on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s at the Bowcrest Nursing Home.
Alta was born July 31, 1928 in Oregon, USA. Alta was a pioneer for women within the Oil Industry working in the fields for Ottis Engineering and then her own business BHP Consulting. She had a lifelong passion for motorcycles which spanned over sixty years of riding.
Alta is survived by Sherry, her friend and companion of forty-six years. She is survived by her daughter; son; and grandchildren. Alta was predeceased by her eldest daughter.
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Monday, January 2, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
