It was with sadness but thanksgiving that I heard the news of Bernice’s passing. She struggled for so long, always positive, until she knew that the end was coming. She will be greatly missed by all of you and her many friends, but know that we hold you in our hearts and prayers as you go through these difficult days. May our loving God bless you with peace to calm your fears, strength to support your weakness, faith to drive away despair, love to fill your loneliness, and hope to conquer doubt. Treasure your many memories of a beautiful person who is now with her loving God who called her into being.

What a beautiful picture, what a beautiful wife, mother, sister………She shall be greatly missed. Full of life and love……..It really has been a few years of loss. This year in one of my Christmas cards I received a poem ” My First Christmas In Heaven” and although it made me cry it also gave me great joy to read it so I shall share it with you.
I see the countless Christmas trees around the world below
With tiny lights, like Heaven’s stars, reflected on the snow.
This sight is so spectacular, please wipe away the tear
For I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.
I hear the many Christmas songs that people hold so dear
But the sounds of music can’t compare with the Christmas choir up here.
I have no words to tell you, the joy their voices bring
For it is beyond description to hear the angels sing.
I know how much you miss me. I see the pain inside your heart;
But I am not so far away, we really aren’t apart.
So be happy for me, loved ones, you know I hold you dear
And be glad I’m spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.
I send you all a special gift, from my heavenly home above
I send you each a memory of my undying love.
After all, love is a gift more precious than pure gold
It was always most important in the stories Jesus told.

I wasn’t lucky enough to meet Bernice in person, but I got to know her through Ron’s stories. His admiration and adoration for his beautiful wife was always very evident. In the past few years he spoke often of her fortitude and courage. She will greatly missed and my thoughts and prayers are with her family.
