Condolences
Deb, So sorry to hear about Gord’s passing. I only knew Gord at work and always enjoyed stopping into his office for a chat. My thoughts are with you at this sad time. Dianne Boyd
I would like to offer my sincere condolences to Gord’s family. Over the years working in the insurance claims industry I had many occasions to work with Gord. He was a fine insurance claims specialist and human being. Gord will be missed.
Rest in peace Gord.
Jean
I am very sad by your passing Uncle Butch. I have very fond memories of the family growing up in Calgary, rooms filled with music and laughter and you were a very large part of that. You will be missed here on earth Gord but you will live in our hearts for the rest of our time. Lots of love, Donny.
Sending all my love out to the rest of my family…I love you all, ,and I am so sorry you are all going through this. Uncle Gord was so special, he had such a soft, loving heart. I will always hold dear the wonderful memories you helped make. Words cannot say how saddened I am to be writting this..but I am happy that you are in a better place, and taking care of us all along with Grandma & Grandpa. You will be forever missed uncle Gord. Love always Corey.
Our condolences to the whole family at such a sad time..God bless you all.. Barb and Arnie
I was so sorry to hear that Gord had such a short retirement. I hope he saw most of the long list of movies he planned to watch. I worked with him from 2005 to 2009, and though I was in the Vancouver office of Dominion, we spoke almost daily. Gord’s knowledge of insurance claims was wide and deep. We shared a love of the business and much laughter. He made many a bad day better with his understanding and support. Gord enjoyed the technical aspects of his work immensely, even when there was too much of it. My sincerest condolences on the loss of such a gentle soul.
Gord,
Many, many years we spent working together, laughing together and sharing our children together. There was a quiet special kind of love between us that will now be sadly missed. Gord, you will forever be in my heart and you will always make me smile. God bless you.
Carol
Dear Debbie and family,
We’re so very sorry to hear your sad news. For Gord it is probably a blessing that he is no longer suffering, however no doubt it is very difficult for you to lose him. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.
Sincerely,
Rich and Heather
I would like to share with Gord’s family how much I enjoyed working with Gord at The Dominion of Canada Insurance. For sometime I worked in the office next to Gord’s and he was delightful, so easy going, such an easy temperment. Gord has left a lot of good memories for a lot of people, of time spent with him.
Though I only knew Gord a few short years, I found Gord to be very fun guy, he would tell me stories of his music career as I worked around the house he and his beautiful wife Deb shared. I’m happy that I got to know such a kind soul. My heart goes out to Deb and the rest of the family.
Debbie & Family,
Words cannot express your loss. Though Gord is gone, he will be forever in our hearts. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
Sorry to hear the loss of a gentleman in his youth. Our condolences to the rest of the family.
Butch,
In so many ways, the relationship between siblings is so very special. As the oldest, there has never been a moment in our lives that you weren’t there. We were born to the same parents, grew up together, taught the same values. In our lifetime, you experienced most things first, paving the way for all of us coming behind you. We will miss you. We love you.
Dear Dean: You are a much loved son-in-law and we are so very proud to have you in our family. We know that as the oldest son, a lot is being asked of you right now, and we see you handling it with dignity and compassion. We did not have the opportunity to visit often with your Dad and get to know him better, but we shared several family celebrations with Gord and Debbie, and with your Mom Karri over the past ten years. These celebrations (your engagement, birthdays, your wedding) have been some of our happiest times, but the greatest joy we shared with Gord, was that of becoming a first time grandparent. We know how much he loved his grandson and we will do our part to make sure as Gavin grows, that he will know that he was a very special little boy to his Grandpa Ferguson. Gavin and Cameron will be watched over by their “Grandpa Angel”. May God keep you Amy and Gavin in His Care. Wendy and Dave
Debbie: Our deepest sympathy to you in this time of loss. We are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers. Wendy and Dave
Shon, Yenita and Scott, Kyle, Alysha …. May God support and comfort you as you grieve the death of your Dad. Dave and Wendy
They say a brothers love is forever and that has always held true with us. Being the oldest you were the teacher of our life lessons and the example for us to follow. We will always have you in our hearts and hope you join with Dad and Mom watching over us all. You will be loved and missed forever, Butch.
To Deb:
Words cannot express my sorrow for your loss. I am deeply saddened by Gord’s death. My thoughts and prayers are with you. We’ll talk soon.
Love Chrissy
Butch,

Please save a place for us and we’ll see you there one day.

Dean & Amy & Gavin
My thoughts are with you and your family at this time.

While I am glad you are no longer suffering, it truly hurts my heart to know you are no longer here with us. I am so grateful for the time we had together dad and I miss you deeply.
You will be greatly missed brother, you leave a great legacy to your presence with the family, if we all can make such a difference in this world, we would be considered a success. We love you and will forever miss your kind heart and beautiful soul
