Condolences
The faculty and staff at the Faculty of Law, University of Calgary, would like to extend our sincere condolences to Susan’s family. Her contributions to the law school, and to the library in particular, were an important part to the life and development of our faculty and library. Our small contribution to Ovarian Cancer Canada will hopefully assist others facing this devastating disease.
Susan’s Family; Even though we have not met I have to tell you I am so sorry to hear of Susan’s passing. The last time I spoke to Susan we both had horrific news to share, Susan – her cancer and on my part the loss of my daughter. We were going to get together as soon as Susan felt better, that did not happen. Susan and I met at the Talisman Centre, we were in the Living Well Program for at least two years. Oh we did have some fun together and she referred to me as “her friend Lorraine” which now I can say was very dear to me. She was a special lady and knowing her was a gift! My thoughts are with you.

Susan was simply one of a kind. I’m so sorry to hear about her passing. I think like many of us, I had come to expect she would always pull through. I had privilege of learning about legal research from her at both the University of Calgary and at TransCanada. Her boundless energy and passion for what she did was infectious. She will be missed, but not forgotten.
Susan will be missed by the many whose lives she touched. Her energy, caring spirit, and wonderful sense of humour were always a joy. My sympathies to the family.
My sympathy to you all. Susan was the first person to hire me years ago and later crossed paths again professionally. We also recently crossed paths during our health battles. I was rooting for her and we kept in touch up to her stay at hospice. She will be missed.
Sue and I attended Bishop’s together and re-connected at a recent Reunion ( 2005).
She was the delightful, pleasant , interesting person that she was 50 years ago. My condolences on your loss.

Condolences to Susans family. I had the pleasure of meeting her at TCP when I was training her law students while I worked at Carswell. I loved her spirit and her keen wit. As a new Trainer she showed me respect, kindness and put me at ease. I know that the world was better because she was part of it.
Godspeed Susan

Dear Drew, Sarah, Sam, Pat, Monty, Christine and all the grandchildren,
Our prayers are with you and we are so sorry for your loss. Susan was such an incredible woman. I just loved her spirit, her joy, her fun loving nature, her sharp wit. We will miss her at the lake. May God wrap His loving arms around you and comfort you all.

Wonderful memories will stay with all of us who were fortunate enough to have Susan touch our lives. As a BLS classmate I’ve been lucky to stay in touch through various libraries – I’ll remember most Susan’s enthusiasm, intelligence, smile and friendship. My warm thoughts to her family at this time of loss
I (Alan) met Susan when she worked at Code Hunter. She was always interesting, witty and insightful. Chats with her were always interesting and difficult to keep short. Jean met her at a party hosted by our friends and neighbours, Carol and (the late) Paul Marshall, and had the same impressions. After Susan went on to other firms, we would see her rarely but continued to enjoy every encounter very much. What a loss for all of us but especially you. We extend our sympathies and will always remember Susan with great fondness.
As we now live in Victoria, we will, unfortunately, miss the remembrance service. We will however be thinking of you.

Sandra, Drew, Montey and family,
My love and prayers are with you.
Drew, Sam and Monty (and your families),
I am truly sorry to hear about your mom’s passing. Your mom remembered little details- even reminded me of things when we crossed paths at the Glencoe every now and then. Your mom was obviously someone who always listened – never missed a beat.
My thoughts are with you and I wish you strength to find joy in the memories that you will forever have of your mom.
Mary (Fraser) MacGregor, Edmonton AB.
Susan was one of a kind, a bright spark. I am so sorry for your loss.
I met Susan when she was at Montreal Engineering and continued to cross paths with her at various times throughout our working lives. She was fun to be around and as she grew older became a role model of how to be an active, involved senior citizen (although I never thought of her as one). I will miss her. My heartfelt condolences go out to all of her family.
Please accept my most heartfelt sympathies for your family’s loss. My thoughts are with you during this difficult time. Susan was a very courageous and inspirational person. She will always be a part of my memories. Especially, her quick wit, positive attitude and her incredible love of life that made her a joy and delight to have known. I wish your family all strength during this difficult time.

Susan will be greatly missed. Her energy and positive attitude was second to none. The TransCanada Law Library will never be the same.
Thinking of you all during this difficult time.

I met Susan only briefly as she was already on leave when I joined TransCanada, but I gathered from others as well what a remarkable woman she was. Know that her name lives on, in high regard, in the TransCanada legal department. I am sorry that I didn’t have more of an opportunity to work with her, and I wish you all strength in dealing with your loss.
I have been blessed to know Susan for the last 19 years, first at Bennett Jones and then at TransCanada. I will always remember her fantastic sense of humour, her spunk and the fact that she seemed to know the answer to everything – she truly impacted many both personally and professionally. My thoughts are with you all, and I hope all the great memories will help you to get through this difficult time.
Dear Monty, Drew, Sandra and families,
I was saddened to see the news of your mother’s passing in the Globe. Although I never had the opportunity of meeting her, I know how dear she was to her late sister (in spite of everything!) and the respect and affection my late mother-in-law, Laura Legge, had for her.
My condolences on behalf of myself, my husband, John Legge and the entire firm of Legge & Legge.

We had such fun when our children were young on the lakeshore in Montreal..We spent many happy hours together as couples and found her to be such fun.. Our deepest sympathy to her children she will be fondly remebered…
Sue and I went to Westmount Senior High School from 1952-1954 thogether. We were in the same class. I remember her well, though we lost touch after we graduated – we went to different universities. I am very sorry to learn she is gone and my husband, Jack (whom she knew also send our deepest sympathy to her family. You will surely miss her. God bless you all as you mourn her passing.
We have wonderful memories of our dear friend Sue. So many fun times we have shared over many years. We send our fondest love and most sincere sympathy to Monty, Drew and Sandra.
