Fond Memories of Walter Rogalsky As My Professor at Art School
Walter Rogalsky was an awesome teacher in 1968-69 when I Attended Pratt University.
He allowed me to learn and assist in the Printmaking Process. I met some Awesome Graduates and Professional Artists as well.

To know Walter was an honour and a pleasure – he was one of our finest educators in the CBE. His creation of the Yamate Student Exchange Program with Wayne Price will be one of his greatest legacies.

To Donna and family
Please accept my sympathy at this time.
I first met Walter at Henry Wise Wood Senior High School in 1968 when he was Assistant Principal with Tom Clarke, Principal. I first met him in August, 1968 and introduced myself to him and told him that I would not be in the classroom on September 1, 1968 as I was going to Cleveland OHIO to receive my Master’s Degree. Walter was so proud of me doing that that he hugged me and wished me a safe trip. He said not to worry because the school would have internal substitution for that short period of time.
The last time I saw you and Walter was at a Business Education Conference in Lake Louise.
My teaching area was LAW at Henry Wise Wood.
I was at the service this afternoon and prayed for him and you and your family.
Please know that he and the family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Donna and Family,
I very much enjoyed working with Walter over a period of many years at Henry Wise Wood High School. He was a warm and capable colleague. His passing and the prolonged period of diminished health that preceded it are very much regretted. May your happy memories of better times be a source of comfort in the days to come.
Jack Ferguson
I had the pleasure of knowing Walter for several years, while I was a Trustee with the Calgary Board of Education. He was a fine gentleman and a very good Principal. My condolences to his family. Joyce Patten.
Donna,
Our deepest sympathy on the passing of Walt. He was a wonderful man and you were both so welcoming when we moved into the neighborhood. He will be missed.
Our deepest sympathy goes out to all the Rogalski’s during this difficult time. Although we had only met Walter on a few occasions we were always impressed by his big smile and warm spirit, such a gentle soul. He is so much a piece of you Paul. Much love to all and wishing you strength and peace…
To Donna and family. Our deepest condolences on the passing of Walter. As a colleque, I enjoyed his wisdom, energy and commitment to his students.

I wish to express my deepest condolences to you all with the regret of not being able to be near you in this difficult moment as Walter and you all were when we were new in Calgary. We have not been able to see each others but your friendship is something I will never forget.
We met Walter at a difficult time in both of our lives but he is nevertheless remembered as a lively and loving man. His death came as a shock. We hope we can be of comfort to Donna in the next few months .Condolences to his family.. Jill McLeod
I remember Mr. Rogalski with a great deal of fondness and respect. He was my principal during my high school days, and one of my champions as well. I didn’t see him often, but he always had a kind word for me, and he always remembered me whenever I would meet him in the hall. And he looked out for me, I think. A lot of who I am and is due to the climate at the school and the climate starts with the man at the top. He was a warm and caring principal, and I will remember him always. I can no longer thank him, but I thank his family in his stead. Thank you.
My heartfelt condolences to the Rogalski family. Thanks to Walter, the first ten of my years teaching in the French Immersion Program at William Aberhart were my best years. He empowered teachers by treating them as professionals, trusting them to do their job, but at the same time always ready to share wise advice when it was required. His constant innovations (e.g., 1st school mainframe computer – named “Walter”, integration of the National Sports School) also contributed to inspiring us all. I will always remember him fondly.
I would like to express my sympathy to Walter’s family. I worked with Walter at Henry Wise Wood and William Aberhart and always found him to be personable to be around.
It is with great sadness that we found out today of Walter’s passing.
We have great great memories of our early days in Canada and of our trip to the Shuswap Lake where we met Walter and his wonderful family.
Walter was a special man with a very big heart. He welcomed us to his home and into his circle of friends.
We will never forget him and the time we spent together.
Our hearts are with you in this sad and trying period.
A warm and big hug to you all from
The Pasteris Family.
Luciano & Franca will attend the funeral, but unfortunately Paolo and Marco who are living in Italy will not be able to.
We’ll never forget the great help and warm friendship Walter gave us in the first years of our settlement in Calgary.
We cry with You on his passing. Sincere condolences.
