We are so sorry to hear about Jan- she was s fighter and dealt with life the “Christie Way”. I worked with Jan as part of the administative team at Banting and Best School. It was a pleasure and privilege to have worked with her. B&B was a challenging school but Jan’s enthusiasm, postive outlook and extensive knowledge and understanding of child development and learning helped keep everyone (teachers and students) working as a team toward our goal of creating one of the best learning environments in any school in Calgary. We were so sorry to hear of Jan’s passing. Murray and I send our heartfelt condolences to you. I have a small painting that Jan did in our house here in Tucson and I think of her when I look at it. Our thoughts are with you.

Jan was an integral part of ladies’ golf at Priddis for longer than I’ve been a member there (more than 17 years). She was always there with help when needed – pictures and decorations for our washrooms and member/guest tournaments, skits for closing meetings, poems and songs for many occasions. She set a good example for the rest of us gals – good humour and positive attitude despite golfing in pain at times. We will remember her with fondness.
