Obituary of Stuart David BAYNE

April 22, 1940– October 19, 2011 Stuart Bayne beloved husband of Gloria Bayne of Calgary passed away on October 19, 2011 at the age of 71 years. Stu was born in Calgary where he lived until he passed away surrounded by his family after a brief battle with cancer. He attended Western Canada High School and S.A.I.T. Stu then became a manager at the York Hotel where he would meet Gloria. He then moved into sales with Meagher’s Distillery and Bacardi Rum. Before finally retiring, he worked at C.O.P. as a driver. In warmer weather, Stu could often be found golfing, usually at the Water Valley course. Other times, he was happy to relax at the Horton Road Legion or as he fondly called it “The Club.” No matter where Stu went, he would find an old friend or make a new one. He has left behind his wife of forty-three years, Gloria (nee Robertson), daughter Tania Bayne and granddaughter Gemma Bayne. Stu will also be greatly missed by his sister, Doreen Murray and family, many brothers and sisters-in-law and a multitude of nieces and nephews and friends. Stu was predeceased by his parents David Bayne and Catherine Bayne (nee Petrie).
