Condolences
My sincere condolences to all of Hap’s family, friends, and fellow Great Escapers. Thank you, Mr Geddes, for your sacrifice, and service to the RCAF, Canada, and the Allied Victory of World War Two, we are all forever in your debt. Rest Peacefully Sir.
Clinton and Jennifer. I learned of your Dad’s passing only today, what a huge shame. I thought Hap was just the greatest guy and my folks loved your Dad and Mom, as did we kids. Our heartfelt condolences for your loss but it is not too many who can say they led the good life for that long that your Dad did. John
I’m very sorry to hear of Hap’s passing, we knew each other when he was in the band and I acted in the plays and reviews onstage at our Stalag Luft III theatre, 1943-45. I will pass this very sad news along to our friend Bobby Laumans who was also in so many of those memorable productions at Stalag 3 prisoner of war camp.

Clint, Marilyn and family,
My condolences to all of you. Loss is hard to adjust to even when it is expected. Be strong and lean on each other.
All the best,
Pam
Clint, Jennifer and families:
We have such wonderful memories of your kind and gentle dad. His huge smile and always so sharply dressed!
May you find comfort in the thought that he is together again with your loving mother.
We share your sadness and pain and offer our condolences and prayers.
Chris & Debra King and family.
My thoughts and condolences are with Jennifer and Clint, and all of Hap’s extended family. Uncle Hap has held an important place in my life and I have many good memories of the times we spent together. My lasting memory is of a kind and gentle man whose sense of humour and good nature was an example for all who knew him – God speed, Hap.
I am very sorry a great gentleman passed. Nevertheless, Hap had many GREAT years of life and was able to contribute to our great Country. Joyce and I will remember the many memorable times we had with Hap.
On the other hand , nearly 67 years ago my father F/L Pawel Tobolski was a great escaper who’s widow was devastated when she learned the news my dad was murdered by the Gestapo in 1944. I will be at the funeral to HONOUR a great gentleman. Joyce is in Edmonton this week-end.
I wanted to convey my heartfelt condolences, to you, Kathie, and to your family on the passing of your grandfather… and to you, too, McKenna, on the passing of your great grandfather. I think of you often.
love,
Mrs. Shea
I was very sorry to hear about Hap’s passing away. He was a kind & funny man that I was fortunate to have known and he made a postive impact on so many people for so many reasons. Blue Skys Hap.

Clint, Jennifer & families, My heartfelt condolences to you all. Hap was such an integral part of my life for so many years. Always kind, always smiling, very special. I will never forget how good he was with Hardie in his final daysI I am so glad he was able to go to Colonel Belcher and I’m grateful he got such good care. I imagine he, Hardie and Pappy will be enjoying a visit, just as they did here. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I regret I am unable to attend the service on Friday but I will be thinking of you.

To the Geddes Family:
For two reasons your Father holds a special place in the hearts of the Ryan family. As sons and daughters of Jack Ryan, we will always remember Hap as a true friend of our Father. Whenever the going got tough for Dad – there was Hap, with that wonderful smile, a word of encouragement and some excuse to play music. As Canadians, we will never forget his sacrifice for our country and our freedom. Please know that tonight the Geddes family is in the hearts and prayers of the Ryan family.
The Ryans
John, Tim, Katherine (Granson), Eleanor (Jones), Margaret (Harris) and Patrick
