Thank you to all who replied; I remember most of you. The memorial service, held at St. John the Evangelist Church in Calgary on Tuesday, October 18 was just the kind of celebration of her life that my mother would have wanted.

To all her Family and friends .. It is with greatest humility that I extend my wife Val and my sincerest condolences to them in their time of grief. My sister was certainly an example of the Canadian value of life in her years of volunteering in Guiding, Church and hospital work. We will miss her

as will her big sister Diana and niece Sandra in Ottawa. Your Lord and Saviour has called you home to continue your work in His presence. God Bless, rest in peace.

Many of us who are still volunteers at the Riverside Hospital in Ottawa will always remember Joan and Bill. Many of us attended Bill’s funeral. Joan had such great energy, always had a laugh for us and loved her volunteer work deeply. Our deepest condolences to her family. During these difficult days may faith be your guide. We pray that you will find comfort in the rich memories that you shared both Joan and Bill.

I’m so sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. She has left behind a lovely living legacy in her descendants.
