Obituary of Linda Christine WHITE

March 14, 1948 – September 28, 2011 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Linda White on September 28, 2011, at the age of 63 years. Linda passed away peacefully, with her family by her side after a brave and courageous battle with cancer. Born and raised in Toronto with her older twin sisters Patsy and Della, Linda graduated from Queen’s University and moved to Alberta where she worked with the Catholic School Board for over thirty years. She loved walking, gardening, and real estate. She was known to many as the very enthusiastic “Varsity Walker”. No matter what the weather had in hold for her she was always out with her dogs. She spent many summers water skiing on Whitefish Lake, and many winters skiing all over the Rockies. Linda loved adventure and would always try new things, like swimming with the sharks in the Bahamas. Linda is survived by John White, her children, Jeunesse (Todd) Violette, Sean (Jenn) White and Rebecca (Greg) McCrimmon; and six grandchildren, Parker, Anderson, Desmond, Addison, Benson, and Nicole. Also surviving are her sisters Patsy Cook and Della Peterson as well as many nieces and nephews who will miss her greatly. She will be missed by her family, friends, students, colleagues and her always faithful pets Charlie, Nala, and Babe. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at St. Luke’s Catholic Church (Corner of Northmount Drive & Northland Drive N.W.) on Thursday, October 6, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Luke’s Catholic Church (Corner of Northmount Drive & Northland Drive N.W.) on Friday, October 7, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
