Condolences
Dear Lorraine, Tom, Paula and Family,
We are so sorry for your loss. May the love and support of family and friends give you comfort during this difficult time. I fondly remember the Holmwood family as a child growing up in Regina in the late 70’s and 80’s. I was ‘the babysitter’ on evenings when my parents, Brian and Dianne, were out on the town with Tom and Lorraine. My parents treasure the laughter and friendship you all shared. It makes me smile just to think about Tom’s distinctive laugh. I know his sense of humour and easy going personality was loved by all who knew him. You are in our Prayers. Sincerely Brenda Bonyai (Gibson)
Lorraine and family:
May you find Peace and Comfort in the love of those who care about you.
With hearfelt sympathy.
Sorry to hear of Toms passing. When I think of people dedicated to staying fit and enjoying life with a smile I will think of Tom. He played RBall like a Chess master. He was always eager to play and probably lining up a game to play now. I was glad to have known Tom.
I was very surprised and greatly saddened to hear of Tom’s passing. I have been out of Calgary and was when I received the terrible news. It was unexpected by me as I was told that the operation had gone very well before I left. I have known Tom for years and always enjoyed playing doubles with him. He was a superb player for many years and his spirit and enthusiasm for the sport and its continuation and growth through the Junior programs will be sorely missed.
A great person and athlete… a sad loss for so many.
His friend of many years,
Usher Barnoff

Dear Lorraine, Tom and Paula:
I am so sorry to see the notice of Tom’s passing recently, and want to send my sincerest condolences to all of the family. I remember him so well as an enthusiastic supporter of the Midnapore hockey team that your young Tom and my young Tom played on together so many years ago. He was a vibrant and lively man, and you will have many wonderful memories of your lives together to carry you through these sad times. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all. Warmest regards, Marjorie Hardy
Lorainne and family, so sorry to hear of Tom’s passing. You will have lots of good memories of your 41 years together. He had the best smile ever. It was absolutely beautiful. Sincere Condolences to your family and his. Much Love, Aunt Jean Nichol, Guelph, ON.
We were shocked and very saddened to hear of Tom’s passing. Our condolences and heartfelt sympathies go out to Lorraine and the entire Holmwood family. May you try and find some comfort in the love of family and friends.
Tom always had a zest for life that was infectious. He made both mine and Jackie’s time at IBM a great experience. Tom was our mentor, our boss and most of all a dear friend! Tom you will be missed but never forgotten. May God bless you and your family.
I was fortunate enough to get to know
Tom through the Fish Creek Sports Club.
I enjoyed the time I spent discussing with him one of his
life- long passions – baseball.
One year, while down in Scottsdale, I attended a ball game with Tom
– he knew as many people in the stands as the locals did!
What a great 3 hours it was.
I will be unable to attend the service as I will be out of town on
business but please raise a “pint” to Tom on my behalf.
Rest in peace Tom.
Dave Elliott
