Obituary of Joseph M. RESHETYLO

October 19, 1937 – September 28, 2011 It is with great sadness that the family of Joseph Reshetylo announce the passing of their father. Joseph “Joe” Reshetylo of Calgary, AB passed away at the age of 73 years. Joe was born in Cudworth, SK. Joe graduated from St. Mary’s High School where he met and eventually married his wife Pauline (Pelletier). Joe was sadly predeceased by his loving wife Pauline on August 18, 2010. Joe is survived by his children Paul (Desney) of Calgary, Ann (Ryan) of Calgary, Brad (Sue) of Tsawwassen, B.C., Debbie Wild of Creston, B.C. and Dawn Reshetylo of Langley, B.C.; twelve grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren and his sister Rose (Gary) Kanngiesser. Joe started with the Calgary Fire Department November 21, 1960 and worked there until his retirement on January 8, 1994 from his position of District/Division Chief. He was called; fondly I’m sure, “Smoking Joe”. Throughout most of his married life Joe enjoyed belonging to the Club 24 Curling Association, camping, fishing, baseball and a variety of collector hobbies; stamps, trains, vintage bottles to name a few. Dad was always busy with something, that’s for sure. He will be sadly missed by all.
