I just heard this news from a colleague. I worked with Blaine at AspenTech and as a client engineer when he was at Hovensa. Very sorry to hear this news. Too young. Thoughts and prayers to the family.

Jocelyn and family, sending you our deepest condolences and sympathies. So grateful for the times we’ve all spent together. Blaine will be missed. His sense of humor and wit keeps us smiling.
Sending our deepest condolences to both families. We had a lot of laughs during the ringette years. A great sense of humour. Jocelyn & the girls will miss him greatly.
Dear Jocelyn & Family,
How sad we were to hear of Blaine’s passing. I have such lovely memories from Drama Club. He was always full of joy and shared his great sense of humour with all who knew him. I loved the relationship the two of you enjoyed at Fort High and was so happy to learn that you had stayed together. I can’t remember a moment when Blaine didn’t have a huge smile for he was always having a laugh or a joke with friends. Although we grew apart as our lives grew busier, we will forever be grateful for knowing him. Take care of each other <3
Please accept our heart felt condolences. I can understand your pain and sorrow as i myself went through it last year when my father was fighting cancer.
May Blaine’s soul rest in peace.
I am deeply saddened by the news of your loss, Jocelyn, Hannah, Katie, Robin, Stephen and the rest of the family. I am honoured and blessed to have known Blaine. I will never forget his sense of humour and most of all his love and devotion to all of you! Sharing in your sorrow with love and friendship. Please don’t hesitate to reach out especially during this difficult time. Many Hugs!
Dear Jocie and family;
Sending my deepest condolences to you and the extended McIntyre / Brett families.
I remember Blaine fondly from High School and most of course from our time together during the “Year of the Turtle” the Frank Slide play.
He was a real “Character” and a “Gentle-man”, even then.
Sincerely,
Jocie and family,
With great sadness I write this and send my deepest sympathies to you and family.
I played right beside Blaine as a Middle Linebacker in football the year we won the Wheatland Football League. We had many a laughs and great fun that year. Taught me to play that position. As the years passed I wonder what Blaine was up to and remember him with great fondness.
I will always remember him as a ” Good Man” and a big heart.
I’m so sad for your loss. Blaine and I grew up about a mile from each other and rode the bus together for 7 years. When I knew him he was a wild man, preferring to move through life as if his hair (which he had lots of) was on fire. We never met again after high school, though I’ve been recounting some of the fantastic Blaine stories ever since. He and I would have been good friends, I think … if only the distance between us had stayed at a mile.
My heart reaches out to you Jocie and your beautiful family. Sending blessings of strength and love
I remember Blaine from high school. He was friendly to everyone, always had a smile on his face and he loved to perform. I also remember his awesome hair! Rest in peace my friend.
Blaine and I went to high school together. I will miss him.
Jocelyn and girls, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your husband and father. I will always cherish the memories of the years you spent ‘just down the road’. Big hugs to you all
