Condolences
Dear Cathy, Darlene, Krista and Families – I was very shocked and so very sad to read about Johnny in the Gleaner. I phoned your Mom right away to let her know that my heart goes out to all of you. We talked about old times when the 3 families all got together, the MacNeils, the Billards and the Mulligans – and of course I was often present being Linda’s sister. I would have recognized Johnny’s picture because he looks just like your handsome father Jack. May the many memories you have of Johnny help ease the pain I know you all are feeling. I still ache from the loss of Linda. In deepest sympathy and friendship – Kathy and husband Terry
To the Macneil family. Please accept my deepest sympathies. John was a great friend back in Oromocto and again in Calgary, I will always remember his big smile. Rest in Peace “John Boy”.
My sincere condolences. John was like the “Fonz” back in the day .. Gr 12, Oromocto High, we all hung out, John, Vaughn, Janet, Greg, Joe, Sandra, Shelley, Vicki, myself (sorry if I forgot some)and we partied, bowled, went to the movies etc etc,, but John was the guy All the girls had a crush on! We had our chats on FB :) He will be missed, RIP John.

Mrs. MacNeil (Kay), Cathy, Darlene and Krista,
What a shock! What can one say. Sorry seems mundane. I have lots of great memories of Johnny when we all lived in Oromocto and would like to say that I know he truly was a great and loving son and brother. I know he felt very protective of you all, even to his last. I hope that this poem will bring you some ease from your grief.
NATIVE AMERICAN PRAYER
I give you this one thought to keep —
I am with you still — I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not think of me as gone —
I am with you still — in each new dawn
Dear Cathy, Kerry & family,
Our thoughts & prayers are with all of you at this very sad time!
Clay & Louise

Dear Kay
Please accept my deepest condolences. I heard about John through Mom on my way back from the states. I still remembered getting together with John in Calgary and his laughs, saying how crazy I was to drive to all the way to Calgary, just to shop… saying “Ron, you have West Edmonton Mall”.
To Kay, Darlene, Krista and Cathy, my thoughts and prayers are to you. He is in good hands with his dad now.

I use to hang with John in Oromocto many years ago. Lots of good times! Haven’t seen him in a long time, but had thought of him many times over the years. Thoughts and prayers go out to the family at this very sad time.
Dear Kay
Please accept my deepest condolences on the tragic death of your son. I will always remember John as a great guy, he always had a smile on his face. He was one of the old oromocto boys.
It’s hard to believe such a sudden and tragic loss. Johnny was such a “cool” cousin. He introduced me to the genius of Dr. Hook, and I’m sure drove Krista, Darlene, and Kathy crazy as he played “Pleasure and Pain” over and over and over again. I hope the love and support of family and friends will give you strength and courage. He was a great guy.
I grew up with Johnny, we had some fun hockey years, and our lives have crossed many times since leaving NB. I have always known him to be kind and caring almost to a fault. You will never be forgotten and you will always be missed. RIP Johnny.
Condolences to the family.
Please accept our deepest condolences on the tragic death of Johnny. You all are in our prayers and thoughts at this time.
My deepest condolences to Mr. MacNeils entire family. I never had the chance to meet him myself. I’m sure he was a kind man. I was at the scene at the time and although I didn’t meet him, his name will and picture will remain with me forever. I’m sooo sorry I could not help.
