Obituary of Kamalini Hannah ABRAHAM

April 12, 1924 – September 9, 2011 Loving and noble wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, teacher, mentor, friend, artist and sincere friend, H. Kamalini Abraham left this life to be born to the immortals on Friday, September 9, 2011. As a pioneer, Kamalini left her home town of Bangalore, India as a young professional and started teaching in a small village in Ethiopia, while raising a family. She continued her aspirations in England and finally in Canada. Kamalini enjoyed a life that was filled with compassion, generosity, adventure, and love. Her engaging personality always left individuals with a feeling of warmth and an uplifting sense of care, regardless of creed or culture. High ideals were expressed through her devotion to various organizations such as The Order of the Eastern Star, The Abbotsford Quilters Guild and the United Church of Canada. Her impressive creative talents as a painter, gardener, and quilter were revealed as each endeavour was tackled with enthusiasm and energy. Kamalini’s sense of humour and strong character earned her the respect and admiration of individuals across the world as well as those close to her. She was predeceased by her husband, A.E. Mayson Abraham. She will be sadly missed by her children, Ravi, Arunkumar, Kalpana; her daughter-in-law Darlene; her son-in-law Dirk; her grandchildren, Mayson and his wife Carly, Mari, Veeran, Ramera, and Zachary; and her great-grandchildren, Lindsay and Aren. A Celebration of Kamalini’s Life will be held at Red Deer Lake United Church (West on Highway #22x past Spruce Meadows) on Friday, September 16, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. You may forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
