Condolences
My sympathies and condolences to Catherine and family. Dick (along with Ron, John and John) was my first boss in the oil & gas industry back in 1978. I started as the receptionist and then worked at increasing more responsible jobs. Dick encouraged me to get my geology degree saying “just because you are a female doesn’t mean you can’t do geology”. Well, I followed his advice and I have never regreted it for an instant. He was a great influence in my life. Thanks Dick!
To Catherine Ann Disturnal and Family. Please accept my heartfelt condolences on the passing of Dick. He was a friend of mine since 1957 when we both worked at Tenneco in Calgary. Best wishes and love to you at this sad moment.

I’m very sorry to hear this news. I have many great memories of playing at your house as a child with Scott Clay and others. Your Dad was always a warm and generous presence.
Regards,
Joe
