Obituary of Janet Louise RAFAEL

March 2, 1947 – August 22, 2011 Janet, beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed peacefully in her sleep early in the morning of August 22, 2011, surrounded by her family, after a valiant battle against cancer. Janet was a warm and highly social person who had the uncanny ability to make friends everywhere she went. She touched many people with her strength and kindness; Janet was truly a mother to us all. Janet is survived by her husband George; three sons and their families, James (Jill), Marc (Marla) and her youngest, Andy (Gina); three grandchildren, Ethan, Henri, and Sheila. She will be missed dearly by all those who she left behind. The family would like to extend our deepest thanks and gratitude to the medical staff of the ICU unit at the Foothills Hospital.
