Obituary of RENNIE – Gillian Helen
June 15, 1986 – August 21, 2011
Our Daughter, Granddaughter, Sister, Sister-in-law, Aunt, Niece and Friend died suddenly on August 21, 2011.
Gillian was predeceased by her Grandparents, Gerry and Helen Rennie and Stan and Betty Thompson and her Adopted Grandfather Harper Thornton and Auntie Pat Clay. She is survived by her parents Bill and Lorna; Adopted Grandmother Jeannie Thornton; Brothers, Ryan (Elizabeth), Stacey (Kate), Sister Heather Peters (Cam); Nephew Tyson and Niece Payton and many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Jill lived a troubled life but found wonderful support in her AA friends. Her bubbly spirit and infectious laugh will be remembered by all with whom she came in contact. We only had our ~Jilly Bean~ for twenty-five years but she was special from the day she came into the world – on Father’s Day. She was born in Calgary but also lived in Estevan for five years and Red Deer for three. Following Graduation from Bowness High School she attended Bow Valley College and passed her Licensed Practical Nursing exams. She worked at the Foothills and Children’s Hospitals before an injury and mental health problems forced her to leave work. Very special thanks to her Great Auntie Faye who she spent hours with on the phone. Jill’s troubles are now over.
