Obituary of George FONG

March 1, 1926 – August 20, 2011 Mr. George Fong beloved husband of Mrs. Ruby Fong of Calgary, passed away suddenly on Saturday August 20, 2011 at the age of 85 years. George was born in Arcola, SK and raised in Red Deer, AB and attended the U of A. He received his degree in geology and worked for Home Oil, Seibens Oil and Gas and Dome Petroleum. During his distinguished career George received the Link Award and the Stanley Slipper Gold Medal. George is survived by his loving wife Ruby and sons Larry and Brian; granddaughters Michelle and Patricia, and niece Trudy (Bob) Kliciak. George was predeceased by a sister Joyce Norton and brother John Fong. A Celebration of Life will be held at, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Friday, August 26, 2011 at 2:00 p.m..
