We continued to keep in touch after she moved out west through Christmas cards where we traded pictures of our kids. Our prayers and thoughts are with you at this incredibly difficult time. Our sincerest condolences to Laura’s family and colleagues. Laura was our accountant and due to her great work over the years we kept adding an additional extended family member or small corporation for her to look after. More importantly, Laura was extremely friendly and caring — a really wonderful person with whom we always loved to talk. We will miss her very much.
Our heartfelt condolences go out to Laura’s family at this very sad time.
Laura’s engaging manner and comsumate professionalism were appreciated by all who met with her.

Claudia and I are truly sorry for your loss. The speed at which her illess presented itself and then took her from us is shocking.
Laura and I spent many a lunch hour walking through Confederation Park. Laura would tell me how much she was enjoying the walk; to get out into the fresh air. She would always say that she enjoyed walking with me because I made her walk so quickly.
Laura, we miss you.
I was deeply saddened and surprised to read of Laura’s passing this week. Laura was kind and generous in sharing her knowledge, intelligence, and honesty in our taxes the past few years. We all have friends and colleagues who, when we think of them, make us smile and feel good because they bring a certain uplift to our lives. Laura was such a person, and we shall miss her deeply. Please accept our heartfelt condolences to your family.
Dear Barbara
I did not know your daughter or her family, but I do know that you have lost a precious child, and I can only imagine how awful that must be.

Laura’s family,
So many of my childhood and teenaged years memories involve the Kapteyn family, a strong, devoted family. Laura left her footprint in many hearts, I have no doubt. She will be missed and thought of by many. My deepest sympathy to all.
Ron and family,
So sorry to hear of Laura’s passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Ron, I still remember the summers you and your brothers used to spend at Grandpa Harvey’s on St-James Street in Granby. That was quite a while ago. So sorry to hear of Uncle Corbie’s death as well. We really loved him.

Larry and I would like to offer our sincere condolence on the loss of your daughter. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
I am still shocked about this. Laura was a wonderful, caring person and she will be missed dearly. I will always remember her looking at me with a smile on her face at work all of the time and telling me that I should bring something healthier to eat rather than taquitos from 7-eleven for lunch every day. She always knew how to make someone smile or laugh. Laura, I will miss you…and to her family…I give my deepest sympathy.
We extend to all of you our deepest sympathy for the sudden lost of dear Laura, your wife, mother, daughter, sister and special friend.
We send you our love, thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Peace be with all of you.
With love, Cathie, Ian, James and Laura McKernan (Barrie, Ontario)
