Condolences
Dave and Sheila
While we did not know Shirley we were sad to read of her passing as we realize these are difficult times for you and your family. Our thoughts are with you all.

Dave, Wendy & Glynis,
My heart goes out to you three and your families. Mom will be missed.
Glynis, Wendy & David,
My dad called me today to let me know about Shirley. I’m very sorry for your loss. Your mom sure built a strong family. She was a sweetheart. God bless you all. I know Shirley will be missed.
Along with my husband Albert, we shared many good times with Shirley during our 11 years in Calgary. We visited Shirley most recently in 2009 and although her health was on the wane the news of her passing was terribly sad. The loss of a dear friend is made more bearable by the many happy memories of those days.

To the family of Shirley Duckett
Although frail when I saw your Mother last she was very alert mentally. She asked about old Cathedral Manor neighbours, delighted I was headed for California indefinetly to my daughter’s home. She & I shared a bond regarding our deep love of family. She was so happy you girls kept her in the latest fashions & always showed me her latest additions in the closet. Her sense of humour was intact, laughing about Mr. Bob ( Farries ) marrying at last.
She was so proud of you all & felt very loved by the entire family. I know she will be missed .

The officers and members of Hillhurst IOOF Lodge #46 express our condolences to the family of Shirley. She was classified as one of our “widows”. We realize Shirley had been in poor health for some time now, but still regret her passing. May she cross that River and be content on the other side.
