Obituary of OUGHTRED – George Wilson

June 24, 1929 – July 26, 2011 George Oughtred of Calgary peacefully passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2011. George earned a B Comm (McGill) and MBA (Western) and spent his life in the Canadian securities business, Alberta oil business, Canadian mining business and the Canadian mutual fund business. George was an officer in the Royal Canadian Artillery. George was a member of the Petroleum Club (Calgary), the Royal Canadian Yacht Club (Toronto) and the Albany Club (Toronto). He will be dearly missed by his loving wife Jean (nee Nicholson) of Guisborough, Yorkshire U.K., Beloved three children Mary Ann (David Huntus), Lawrence Charles and Elizabeth (George) and Mary Ann and David’s children Jeanna and Grace Huntus. He was predeceased by his parents Lawrence and Jean Oughtred (nee McKinnon) of Nelson B.C. and Montreal P.Q. He was also predeceased by his sister Isabel Oughtred and his two brothers William Oughtred and Winn Oughtred.
