Condolences
I was deeply saddened hearing about Barry’s illness and passing. My condolences to Ella and family. Barry was a great pilot and asset to the Cu-Nim Gliding Club. He was always upbeat and happy to give a hand. He will be dearly missed by all.

Dear Ella, Dave, Carla and Mike and all your families;
I regret that I can’t be there with you. Although we haven’t been in touch recently I have always had a special place in my heart for all of the Bradley’s. Barry was a true gentleman, scholar and friend. As noted by my brothers above, we had many great times together over many years.
My thoughts and sympathies are with you at this difficult time.
Take care of each other.
Rick
To Ella, Dave, Carla, Mike, Dad and families:
My sincerest condolences on the passing of Uncle Barry. I can only imagine how you must be reeling from the recent diagnosis and sudden passing of Barry. He was a great man with a fantastic dry sense of humour. Everytime he would look at you with that sheepish grin you would be wondering what he was going to say, but you always knew it was going to be good! He will be greatly missed!
We won’t be able to make it to Calgary for the funeral but our thoughts and hearts go out to all of you in this time of great sorrow!
Brant and family
Dear Ella, Dave, Carla and Mike and all your families,
I am saddened to hear of Barry’s passing. He was always great with my brothers and myself. He was very kind, with a great sense of humour. My thoughts are with all of you at this difficult time. I regret that I will not be able to be at Barry’s Memorial as I am visiting with Jeff in Vancouver.
Sincerely,
Jon Palmer
Dear Ella,
Ruth and I were so saddened to learn of Barry’s illness and passing, and we wish to extend our deep condolences to you and the whole family.
We often recall sharing good company with you and Barry at the airfield and countless other Cu-Nim flying and social events over the years. Many happy times!
Barry’s gentle nature, endless mentoring enthusiasm, joyful spirit, his passionate excellent flying skills and dedication to you and family remain inspirational.
Sincerely,
Ruth, Kirstyn, Mark, Hans
Dear Ella, Dave, Carla, Mike and all your families,
I am so sorry for your loss. Barry was truly one of a kind.
There are so many wonderful memories built among the incredible kindness, support and friendship that our family was always blessed with from the whole Bradley family.
Family camping trips, canoeing, the gliding club, or just growing up on Benson and Brockington Roads, no matter the situation, Barry was a calm, kind and caring mentor gifted with a razor sharp, analytical mind. The photo beautifully captures the wry grin that would precede the ‘here’s what you did, here’s how you can do better next time’ discussion.
His many long friendships speak so clearly of his wonderful character. I wish it was possible to be there in person to thank you all in person for sharing Barry’s very full life with all of us.
Sincerely,
Jeff Palmer
Dear Ella and Family:
We were very sad to learn of Barry’s recent passing.
Having known Barry since the 1980s at Cu Nim, we wish to extend our deepest condolences to the family.
Barry was always happy and helpful to fledgling towpilots, and contributed greatly to the Cu Nim club throughout the years. You were all like ‘Family’ to other members with your warmth and friendliness.
Dear Auntie Ella, Dave, Carla, Mike and Families.
I am so sad I can’t be with you all right now. My heart is with you ,and if I was there I would give you all a Hug…I will raise my glass to Uncle Barry…and I am sure by now in Heaven he and Poppa have bagged a few Ducks, (because in Heaven you can hunt anytime, and you don’t need a licence!!!!) and now they are toasting their hunt!!!
xo our love to you all,
Shannie & Sarah
Ella, I was so sorry to learn of Barry’s passing and share in your sense of loss. I lost my soul mate on the 25th of July. Before Janet passed away she told me to keep my family close to me. I hope you will also find comfort in your family as well.

Ella and family, I am so sad to hear about Barry. I can’t begin to imagine how much you will miss him. I remember so fondly those early days in Montreal, raising our children and the many games of penny-ante poker with the hockey games in the background. Barry’s quiet laugh and sense of fun was always so welcome. I am sorry to be living away from Calgary and will not be at the service. With loving sympathy,
Mary
Dear Ella
It is with the greatest of sadness that I’m reading this announcement today. I want to express my deepest sympathy to Ella and the rest of the family on this very great loss. This long time friend will certainly be missed by me.

As we will be unable to attend the service, Catherine and I would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to Ella and the family. Barry was a mainstay of CuNim and an excellent towpilot. Whether in its day to day operation, or at cross-country weeks or instructor courses, Barry could always be counted on to quietly and competently provide the towing.
It was always a pleasure to have him on the front of the towrope. Fond memories Barry!
Sincerely,
Terry & Catherine Southwood
I was very sorry to learn of Barry’s illness and subsequent passing. As a new student with Cu-Nim, Barry was very patient with me as I learned the skill of aerotowing. He was always ready with a word of advice and encouragement. His standards of his craft were exceptional and he did not hesitate to extol that in others. I will miss Barry with his kind smile and sparkle in his eyes. He loved to fly, his passion was evident. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time and will continue in the days and weeks to come.
Yours sincerely,
Judy Soroka
