We are so sorry for your loss. Roy was a very special person, and will always be remembered. He will be missed. Our prayers and thoughts are with you at this time.
Dear Amy & Jennings family,
Kate and I were deeply saddended to learn of Roy’s death. He was a great person, much loved by all who knew him; a man of true friendships, loyal to many and to many important causes, unfailing in his courtly manner and ever present good humor. We know he has provided a wonderful life for you all, and that you will miss him so much. We will miss him dearly.
Much love,
Kate & Fred V.
To the Jennings family,
I was saddened to hear of the passing of Roy. As a young sports media type in the 70’s and 80’s I got to know Roy through his Stampeder connection…the annual football BBQ at Eagle Ridge was always a highlight. I will remember how he always had a kind or helpful word re football, business or mutual friends, the Berg’s. He will be missed…he was a real force of nature.
Kind regards
Jack MacDonald

On behalf of the entire Stuart family I would like to offer our deepest condolences to the Jennings family on your loss. I walked by your old house in Meadowlark just 2 weeks ago while visiting my Dad, and have many fond memories of your family.
Amy and Family – Roy was a great guy and I had the pleasure of knowing him in the Standard General days, as well as through the years while playing trumpet in the Hays breakfast band from Gerry Shapter days to the recent present – we always had some good times, and very sorry at his passing.

Dear Amy and Family
It was a great pleasure meeting Roy. He was a very kind and gentle man and will be missed. Our sincere sympathies to all of you. Angela & Paul
We have always been proud to have known Roy Jennings. A gentle and generous man who contributed his time and talents to civic duties and who, unfailingly, supported his family, his community and his friends. As a member of the original Board of Management of the Foothills Hospital he worked to bring contemporary and academic health care to Southern Alberta. He was a champion of compassion and dignity in the care of the sick and in the nurturing and appreciation of those who delivered the care.
We offer our prayers to the family as well as our gratitude for having known this man.

Dear Amy and family,
We were so sorry to hear of Roy’s passing. Bob, Barb, Cathy, Lisle and I had such wonderful times with all of you in Calgary, Gull Lake and Borrego Springs, and those are memories that I will treasure forever. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the children at this difficult time and Roy will always have a special place in our hearts.
With our love,
Jacquie
I extend my sincere sympathy to the family of Roy Jennings. Memories of those who have passed away are all we have but I know I know you will always treasure the memories of husband, father and grandfather. I did not have close contact with Roy but those contacts I had contributed to my life as a Native Calgarian. As an Architect (retired) I was fairly well acquainted with Reg – his dad – and both were real gentlemen and sincerely interested in Calgary’s development, serving the community and developing friendships.
With Respect

Dear Amy, Gary,Lynn, Bill and Karen, I am so sorry to hear the news of Roy. I am thinking about you at this time. I have only fond memories of Roy (other than forcing me to get up early in the ski days :)). He will be missed by everyone in our family. I’m so glad I got to see him this past March in Borrego. Lots of Love Buzz (as better known in the Jennings family).
Roy stepped into our lives sixteen years ago. What a gift that was. It is not often in life we have the priviledge of knowing someone who will leave big footsteps behind him and a legacy forever. Roy was that kind of person, gentle, kind, caring and generous to a fault. He will leave a soft spot in our hearts for ever.
Love Jeanette & Dennis
Amy – “Heaven” has a few new ‘special angels’ now, as my Mom (Marianne Matthews) also just passed away (July 5, 2011) due to another severe stroke. (My Mom’s Obituary will be in the Herald this Fri/Sat (July 15/16). She joins my Dad Keith & Brother Scott. They will all be patting Roy on the back and enjoying his wonderful smile and spirit. My thoughts and prayers are with you & your family. My parents always thought the world of you & Roy, and were thankful for your friendship for the past 50 years. God Bless. Love, Cory, Dave, and Matthew
